CHRISTMAS EVE

Candlelight Lessons & Carols, 5 p.m.

Join us for an evening Lessons and Carols service on Christmas Eve. The service begins at 5 p.m. and will also be live-streamed on our YouTube channel.

Lessons and Carols—also known as the Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols—is a longstanding Christmas Eve tradition, originating in the late 19th century and popularized by King's College, Cambridge. The service consists of nine Scripture lessons retelling the biblical history of the Fall, prophecies of the Messiah, and finally the birth of Christ as the fulfillment of Scripture. Each lesson is followed by a carol, poem, or anthem as a response.
