Stitches of Hope

Prayer Shawl Ministry welcomes new members to our group.  Completed shawls are given to members, family of members, friends or anyone in need of comfort and solace during a difficult time in life.

Our group meets the 1st Thursday of each month at 1:30 PM at the Church. The Shawls are knitted, crocheted, quilted or woven and prayer is an integral part of this ministry from beginning to end.  The group prays over the shawls that have been made during the past month.  Then, all shawls are blessed by our pastors.

We will teach you how to knit or crochet if you need instructions and provide simple, but beautiful patterns.

"Shawls ... made for centuries universal and embracing, symbolic of an inclusive, unconditionally loving, God. They wrap, enfold, comfort, cover, give solace, mother, hug, shelter and beautify. Those who have received these shawls have been uplifted and affirmed, as if given wings to fly above their troubles..."
